The ASTER SX Expert V2 replaces your mechanical trigger contacts and offers full control over your trigger response, cycle detection, and battery protection. With the included Quantum Trigger, you can adjust the sensitivity of your trigger – from a light touch to full movement. This unit supports both standard and brushless motors and works with batteries up to 11.1V LiPo.

Technical specifications

The ASTER SX is built on a 1mm thick PCB with a multi-layer design for optimal durability. The black circuit board has compact dimensions of 43.8 x 28.7 x 7.7 mm and weighs only 23.35 grams. The unit has a nominal current capacity of 30A and a current consumption of 23mA during use. The rear wire configuration allows installation in standard V2 gearboxes. The temperature range runs from -15°C to +50°C, ensuring reliable operation under various conditions.

Compatibility and application

This trigger unit is designed for V2 gearboxes and fits most AEG replicas with this platform. The ASTER SX supports selector modes for SAFE, SEMI, and BINARY trigger functionality. Through the GCS App, you can perform firmware updates and set up to 60 different trigger sensitivity levels for the first millimetre of your trigger movement. Installation requires technical knowledge of gearbox assembly and soldering of motor connectors. This unit is suitable for both standard builds and high-speed and DMR configurations with strong springs.
